I have lived my life through my hands. As a midwife, I have had the honor of helping guide many new lives into this world, gently holding and molding heads that have emerged from small openings into lives unknown ahead.
My hands have known the feel of soil, yet again gently holding and molding, covering seeds, mounding potatoes, harvesting blooms that delight me with their colors and shapes.
Along the way my hands turned to clay, again gently holding and molding and observing what would emerge, sometimes with intention and sometimes with curiosity and wonder.
